This workshop focuses on self massage techniques, restorative yoga postures and acupressure points of the body.

Louisa (Durga Mayi Ma) is a licensed massage therapist and a certified personal trainer , She holds a 500 RYT with Yoga alliance and is a first level Yoga Therapist.

Louisa will guide you through a therapeutic format built around pain, posture and performance of the muscles in the body. These techniques will help to eradicate pain, improve the posture and enhance performance through a unique blend of self-massage techniques, yoga and the acupressure points of the body , identifying and targeting areas of the body that are most overused, under used or misused. Yoga bodywork therapy helps to heal damaged muscles, increase strength, posture and establish healthy movement patterns to help you live better in your own body.

Starting with anatomy of the feet, she will discuss foot pain and any issues such as plantar fasciitis. In which you will learn techniques to help alleviate pain. Such as self massage and acupressure points for the feet.

further focusing into posture, we will use massage therapy balls in a blend of yoga postures and self-massage techniques. This will help to have a better understanding of which areas of the body are being misused or overused. Focusing on the muscles around the spine, working from the base of the spine to the top of the shoulders.

lastly reviewing a format for an overall body performance. Focusing on the front of the body using our therapy balls to assist in healthy movements, working superficial to Deep, in parts of the upper body and discussing acupressure points of the face, head and neck.

No yoga experience required. Therapy balls will be provided.

Begins with dinner Fri Nov 11 @ 5pm - ends after lunch Sun Nov 13 @ 1:30pm
